孙彦初，1978年生于河南周口,现工作和生活在郑州。曾创作《沉溺于此》《虚构集》显影绘》等系列作品。并制作完成《已过夏天》《猫的篇章》《罔闻与安慰》《半张纸，一个句子》等多部手工书。近期重要个展包括有:“山影显相”，谢子龙影像艺术馆，长沙,2026“显影绘”，K11艺术中心,广州,2025;“坐虎岩”,壹峰艺术中心,郑州,2022;“无镜之景”，谢画廊,长沙,2019;“显影绘和虚构集的节选”(M97)ASIA NOW 2018;“显影绘”(东景缘画廊)北京,2019;“虚构集”(2018亚洲摄影项目，爱丽舍摄影博物馆);“虚构集”(集美阿尔勒国际摄影季)2017;“暗房里的自大者”，(香港巴塞尔)2016;“沉溺”(北京现在画廊)2014。曾在利物浦L00K摄影双年展、Stieglitz19画廊、佩拉美术馆、星空间、今日美术馆、三影堂摄影艺术中心、莫纳什美术馆、尤伦斯当代艺术中心、英国FORMAT 15国际摄影节、民生现代美术馆、法国勒瓦鲁瓦摄影节、法国昂热大剧院等机构与摄影节参加相关展览。其作品被多个艺术机构收藏，包括:美国麻省理工学院李斯特视觉艺术中心、南京金鹰美术馆、长沙谢子龙影像艺术馆、德国(亚历山大·图塞克)艺术基金会、美国洛克菲勒艺术基金、英国现代冲突档案馆等孙彦初的作品结合了他个人生活经验与他对摄影、绘画、图像编辑的多方面理解的综合，一方面他依旧自主拍那些苍劲孤独的画面，另一方面他长期关注摄影与绘画的媒介融合和边界探索，通过摄影、绘画、手工书等多媒介实践，构建起独特的影绘诗学体系。其作品《沉溺于此》及《虚构集》分别在2011年和2016年由假杂志出版。曾获2017集美·阿尔勒发现奖提名、2015谷仓摄影样书:马丁·帕尔评审奖大奖、2011连州国际摄影年度新摄影奖及2010日本MI0摄影奖评审员(森村泰昌)特别奖。

Sun Yanchu was born in Zhoukou, Henan Province in 1978, and currently lives and works in Zhengzhou. He has created series such asAddiction, Fictions, and Developing Paintings. He has also produced numerous artist books, including Summer Has Passed, Chaptersof a Cat, Deafness and Consolation, and Half a Sheet of Paper, A Sentence. Sun Yanchu’s worksynthesizes his personal life experience with his multifaceted understanding ofphotography, painting, and image editing. On onehand, he continues to shoot poignant, solitary images autonomously on the other, he has long focused on the fusion and boundaryexploration between photography and painting. Through muti-media practices-photography, painting, and artist books-he hasconstructed a unique poetic system of “shadow painting.” His series Addiction and Fictions were published by Jiazazhi Press in 2011and 2016 respectively.He was nominated for the Jimei x Arles Discovery Award in 2017; received the Grand Prize of the GuvernoloPhotography Dummy Award (Martin Parr Jury Prize) in 2015; won the Lianzhou International Photo Festival Annual New Photo graphyAward in 2011; and received the Special Jury Prize (Morimura Yasumasa) at the MI0 Photo Prize (Japan) in 2010.
